What is Kirtan
Kirtan is an ancient, heart-centered devotional practice that began in India as a joyful way for people to gather, sing, and connect with the Divine. Rooted in the yogic and Bhakti traditions, Kirtan is often described as the yoga of sound and devotion.
As you join in the sacred mantras, your voice becomes your medicine - repeating ancient sounds that awaken your spirit and move energy through your body. This call-and-response chanting practice invites full presence, turning simple melody into a meditative, transformative experience.
Through rhythm, melody, and vibration, Kirtan helps clear energetic blockages, shift emotional states, and uplift the soul. It's a powerful fusion of sacred music and devotion - a form of mantra meditation that invites stillness, aliveness, and sometimes even spontaneous dance.
Whether you're new to Kirtan or an experienced practitioner, this devotional chanting practice offers a direct path to presence, connection, and inner peace.
