Devotional Kirtan singer and music teacher Punnu Singh Wasu invites you to his 5-day heart opening and soulful Kirtan intensive training.


This is a unique and transformational opportunity to study ancient devotional mantras and Indian Classical Music with a Kirtan master of more than 40 years of experience.


This training is for both beginners (no previous musical experience is necessary) as well as for Kirtan leaders who want to refine their skills.


Experience the benefits of ancient sacred mantra repetition as applied to chanting and meditation. Enjoy the ecstasy and deep spiritual fulfilment of the ancient Bhakti Yoga practice. Learn Sanskrit and Gurbani from Sikhism (Kundalini) chants, their proper pronunciation and meanings.


You will gain insight into Yoga philosophy in Bhakti, traditional Indian deities stories and practices. Learn the instruments used for Kirtan, and explore the possibilities to create your own amazing chant compositions.

Punnu Singh Wasu is an Indian vocalist, musician, songwriter and multi instrumentalist. He was born and raised in Hyderabad into a family that has a true love for Kirtan and spirituality. Punnu began studying harmonium and singing at the tender age of 5. At age 10, he moved on to studying the Indian Classical Music (Hindustani) while traveling with his father throughout India singing the beautiful verses of Kirtan. Later on his knowledge of mandolin and tabla became his focal point.

Participants are divided into 2 or 3 groups: Beginner, intermediate and advanced depending on their skills.


  • For those attending the full training, you will receive a booklet on Kirtan and Bhakti Yoga, and useful chant sheets that spell out the exact fingers and chords to use in granular detail, so you build good habits from our first call.

  • Deposit of $200 USD for 5-day training reserves your space and is payable upon registration.
  • The deposit is non-refundable but transferable.


  • The final payment is due 30 days before the training commencement (November 1, 2019).

  • 100% of the course fee (less deposit) will be refunded 3 months ++ prior to training commencement.
  • 50% of the course fee (less deposit) will be refunded 1 – 3 months prior to training commencement.
  • No refunds will be made 4 weeks prior to training commencement.


  • In case of hindrances to participate in the training the student has always the possibility to look for a replacement.
  • Classes, which have not been visited cannot be recovered at a later time nor will be refunded. Further, there will be no entitlement for a discount or refund in case of absence (due to sickness, job-related and other reasons).


  • Please be aware that insurance is the responsibility of the participants. Teachers and assistants shall not be held liable for any damage to, or loss of property or injury to persons.


  • Please wear comfortable clothes, bring your own instrument(s) if you have them and a notebook and pen.
  • Punnu may teach playing mandolin if requested.
  • Private music sessions in person or by Skype/Zoom can be booked with Punnu at any time.
